The book includes selections from Mexico City Blues by Jack Kerouac, Naked Lunch, by William S. Burroughs, Kaddish by Allen Ginsberg, as well as writings by Gregory Corso, Peter Orlovsky, Diane Di Prima, Amiri Baraka, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Joanne Kyger, Philip Whalen, Michael McClure and Gary Snyder.
